Photovoltaic Performance Indicator
The PV controller team is competing in the WERC Environmental Design competition in New Mexico this April. Our task is to design a better controller that provides a user friendly display of the solar panel output. Currently most residential solar panel units do not provide the average user an easy way to tell if their system is working correctly. We hope to provide a system that will track solar cell output and wirelessly send that information in a web-based utility allowing users of beginning or advanced knowledge the ability to monitor their home's solar power input.
