Microbial Bioreactor for Hydrogen Production
Our group is developing a potentially revolutionary system for sustainable hydrogen production. The team designed a biological reactor where a genetically screened microbe produces hydrogen from air and plant waste. The hydrogen generates electricity via a fuel cell. We plan on launching a pilot program at SmartHome and then expanding to developing nations (Guatemala) within a year.
