The Home Depot Smart Home Automation

The Home Depot Smart Home’s planned home automation system will include the ability to remotely command by voice, devices such as lights, home theatre, a centralized music library, and temperature control, in addition to providing a system for monitoring power and household events and managing security concerns. A diverse series of systems will be used to achieve these goals, but cost is also important, so solutions will be both effective and relatively inexpensive. Currently, the system can take inputs from a variety of relay and sensor inputs, send and receive X-10 commands, and act upon received IR commands. The system will be further expanded during installation into The Home Depot Smart Home, and may be expanded after the house is built due to additional open conduits and access points throughout the house.
