Facial Recognition and Identification
In designing an automated house, an important feature is the ability for the house to recognize the identity and location of the person inside a house. Another important feature to consider here is security. The automation features should not compromise the security of the house, yet the security system should not sacrifice the simplicity of the automation features. This project proposes a method to adequately determine the identity and location of a person.
Two 640x320 webcams can sufficiently monitor the front door. For a 5000 sq ft house, 20 cameras along with a good AI system should be able to monitor the house.
