Accessibility in The Home Depot Smart Home
The Accessibility team was developed in January 2004 with the intention of making The Home Depot Smart Home accessible to all people, regardless of handicap or disability. During the course of the Spring 2004 semester, various facets of the project were explored through meeting with experts of the field and researching accessibility guidelines.
Over the course of the semester, the information collected through universal design research and visiting the accessible rooms on campus enabled the compilation of a list of desired features to be included in The Home Depot Smart Home.
